From humble beginnings to a global brand, Alpina’s journey is rooted in craftsmanship, innovation.
Here's how we grew:

1947 - 1956

Alpina is officially founded

In 1947 our first pair of trekking shoes is made, by 1951 the cooperative evolves into the Alpina Company and in 1956 now legendary Alpina fashion and ski boots enter production.

1970 - 1980

Taking Alpina from Retail to the Roof of the World

In 1970 we launch of our retail network. In 1973 we launch our first cross-country ski boots - a major step into the world of Nordic skiing performance and in 1979 Alpina shoes reach the top of the world with the first Yugoslavian Everest expedition.

1980 - 1990

Alpina enters Western markets and Olympic Games

This is a decade when our brand crosses borders and makes its mark internationally. In 1984 Alpina becomes one of the key sponsors (and winners) of the Sarajevo Winter Olympic Games.

1990 - 2000

A decade of Strategic Growth

We acquire FOGS in Bosnia and expand our manufacturing capabilities.

2000 - 2010

Global manufacturing begins

In 2004 Zhongshan factory opens in China and in 2006 a new factory in Bosnia – BROMY.

2010 - 2020

Alpina becomes a household name

Retail network surpasses 100 stores in the Adria region, we launch of our first online store and expand and redesign our retail stores network.

2020 - 2026

Future vision

In 2022 we celebrate 75 years, three-quarters of a century of passion and innovation. In 2025 our ski boot ENYO, the first boot designed to adapt specifically to the female foot has received the Red Dot Award for its outstanding design and innovative ergonomics.
