Cross-Country skier Carina Edlingerová wins gold with Alpina
We are thrilled to share the news of an exceptional achievement by an amazing athlete, Carina Edlingerová, who won the Paralympic gold medal in biathlon in Val di Fiemme in Alpina boots. This marks the first-ever biathlon gold for Czech para sports and the first medal for Alpina footwear at these Games.
After the race, she shared how much it meant to her: “Winning this gold medal means a lot to me. After the misses at the first shooting, I knew I just had to keep pushing on the track. Alex was encouraging me, and that really helped. Before today, I was mostly known as a cross-country skier, but after winning Paralympic gold in biathlon, I guess I can finally call myself a biathlete.”
Congratulations to Carina and the entire team on such an amazing performance!
At Alpina, we are proud that Carina chooses to race in our boots — and even more proud to see her win in them. Moments like this give real meaning to our commitment to supporting our heroes with footwear that can contribute to their success. Thank you for choosing Alpina, Carina.
