One shoe, all-day pace: Boston 2.0 at the Tina Maze Ski Academy
August was a lively month at Kope. Tina Maze gathered young skiing hopefuls from Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland and Croatia at her summer academy. But the camp wasn’t only about physical preparation. It was a holistic sporting experience: intensive training sessions were rounded out with conversations about discipline, mental toughness, and a healthy relationship with one’s own body.
For the second year in a row, Alpina was proud to join as a partner of the event. Stories built on the transfer of knowledge, perseverance and genuine sporting spirit have always resonated with us in Žiri. Our mission is to develop footwear that provides reliable support with every step, which is why we’re glad to support projects that open the door to the world of sport for young people.

From morning to evening in the Boston 2.0
While the young talents were in the spotlight, a team of coaches and mentors was working behind the scenes. These are the people who started the day before everyone else and finished it last. They spent the entire week quite literally on their feet. That’s why we put the whole team in the Boston 2.0 model, so they’d have a soft, reliable step through the full day’s work and could focus entirely on the young athletes without tired feet holding them back. For the Boston 2.0, the relentless pace in Koroška was the perfect real-world test:
-
Built for all-day movement: the FloatCM midsole combined with Surge technology delivers maximum cushioning that absorbs impact and reduces pressure on the feet.
-
Materials that breathe with you: the upper, made from airy AirM mono-mesh, allows unobstructed airflow to the feet, preventing overheating in summer heat and keeping every step light and pressure-free.
-
All-day freshness, uncompromising stability: the Ortholite® insole with moisture control prevents sole fatigue, while torsional support in the midfoot ensures a stable, secure step on all surfaces.
-
Reliable grip, superior fit: the Prime lacing system and tongue loop keep the shoe exactly where it needs to be – with a single goal: to give the foot stable support without the need for constant readjusting.

A collaboration that energizes us
Partnering with the SKI Academy Tine Maze is more than just a collaboration for us — it’s a confirmation of what we believe in: that real support starts with the fundamentals. When the step is soft and the shoe so comfortable you simply forget you’re wearing it, people out in the field can devote all their energy to what truly matters. Thank you to Tina and the entire team at Kope for an incredible week and for trusting us with every step.
